My world consists of my boys and their women in their lives. My grandchildren, who bring such joy to my life. My pets, who I adore very much and love watching them interact with each other. My hubby, Chuck, and his passion, Stampede Band. Plus, any ramblings I want to do. So, I hope you enjoy your visit into "My World" through my eyes.

Laminin, What an awesome video!

This is a video that is a must see and listen to. I hope you it truly reaches you from within.

My letter to the Editor in today's Express-Times Newspaper

Let me explain why I wrote this letter then you will understand. You know how cities have these banners that hang from telephone poles or light poles that read what city you're in, i.e. Welcome to Allentown, Easton, or Wilson Borough. Well, Palmer Township had these very UGLY brown banners that you really couldn't read, until you were on top of them or almost past them. They also advertised the businesses that their community offered. An article was in The Express-Times yesterday about the new banners they put up and an electronic sign added where an old sign was at 25th & Northampton St. intersection.

If you click on the title you will read what yesterday's article said and why I wrote this letter.

NEW BANNERS MAKE PALMER TWP. PROUD

I really like the new banners and electronic sign at 25th and Northampton streets. I do agree with Lauren Powell ("New sign, banners decorate Palmer," May 30) about the colors of the old banners. By the time you saw the names of the businesses you drove right past them. I always wondered why they were brown and not the colors of Palmer Township. I grew up in Palmer and its colors were always green and white.

Now I am a Wilsonian and I really think our borough would benefit with new banners to advertise the businesses in Wilson. Some people don't even know of the different businesses we offer our community. Same with an electronic sign by Meuser Park to advertise special events that go on in the borough and park.

Well done! I am proud to say I grew up in Palmer Township.

Missing my Grandparents and other family members

This is the time when I miss my grandparents because they always started the summer off with a huge family picnic. Most Memorial Days it would be too cold and we would have it in the garage or basement. On beautiful days like today we would have had it in the yard, with beanbag games and quoit games going all day. Music playing in the background and the laughter of all the little kids.

I really hope you truly look back at the good times these special holidays bring to mind. Like going to parades, picnics, cemetery to place flowers on a Vets grave, or just being with family.

How I really miss our family members that pass.

Enjoy this beautiful day!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Happy Memorial Day, to All

What a nice picture of my foster son's girlfriend Jamie and their son and my grandson Jonathan. It was a beautiful day for a parade and outing.

Here is Grandma Jan from Florida looking at her beautiful grandson Aidan Brian. She will be up soon to see her new grandson.

Aidan's Special Protector, Chloe

Everyone thought that their Chloe would be very jealous of the new arrival, but she proved us all wrong, as you can see in this picture.

Breaking News from The Express-Times

Toddler found in Wilson sparks debate
by Express-Times staff
Tuesday May 13, 2008, 3:32 PM

No criminal charges are being filed against the mother of a 2-year-old girl found alone 2 a.m. Monday on a Wilson street, but Northampton County Children, Youth and Families Division is investigating. Is it a case of neglect or a mischievous toddler?

"You're telling me that a 2 yr old got out of bed, walked to the door, unlocked it and then walked 1/4 of a mile in less than 20 mins? To top it off, you didn't notice the baby was missing until 9?" comments pebbles6.
"UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!" writes mkgkpalmer. "Can a Two Year old baby even reach the door knob?"
But Susan Jarrell of Wilson Borough has a different opinion. When her son was 2, she had her hands full.

"A neighbor called us about 7:30 a.m. to tell us my son was on my second-story roof outside of our bedroom window, sitting there watching the sights. His brother was 3 and behind him waiting to go out, too. My husband and I never heard him open the window and climb out," she writes in a letter to the editor to be published Wednesday. "So, please, don't be hard on this mother because a 2-year-old can be the most mischievous person in the human race."
What do you think? Are 2-year-olds too much to handle? Is Duran's story unacceptable? Leave a comment below.

Wednesday's Express, Letter to the Editor

I wrote a letter to the editor of the Express-Times newspaper, so look for it. It is about the 2-year-old found at 1:50 AM yesterday morning wandering around the borough streets. My title I submitted was "The Wandering Child," but they may change the title, so look for my name at the end. Then you will know what I wrote.

Boy, I feel for this mother because I had a very mischievous little boy in my son, Tom. He put all the gray hair on top of my head. I thought I would never survive the "Terrible Twos and Horrible Threes." All you parents out there can testify to those stages in a child's life, especially when you have a very active toddler, like my Tommy was. I feel for his wife Stephanie, because she has four children, two have made it through those stages, one is going through them right now, and the littlest one will be going through them shortly.

I can't judge this parent on this wandering 2-year-old, until it is proven that she was in the wrong, and until that's proven, she will have her hands full with a very curious/mischievous toddler.

Mother's Day is Sunday, May 11th

What are your plans for your mother? My plans are to hopefully visit my mother-in-law up at Gracedale Nursing Home. Hopefully, she will be in a good frame of mind and will enjoy our visit.

If my mom was still alive I would be either taking her out for dinner or having her over for dinner, but she's not here with us anymore. But I have my memories to relive of the Happy Mother's Day we would spend with her and my grandmother. If you can only redo the past sometimes. I sure do miss my Nana!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! To all you mothers, grandmothers and foster mothers, may you all have a very wonderful day.

Pictures of my family!

I have to make sure my friends see how much my family has grown, since my hubby Chuck doesn't update our family website. So, there are times when I have to steal pictures from my daughter-in-law, Stephanie's Blog, or my foster son's girlfriend, Jamie's Blog, so you all can see how much my grandchildren have grown. Keep up the good work girls!

My little Leanna and her new look!

I just think she looks so darn cute in her new glasses. Don't you?
