New Year's Eve Day

I want to wish all my readers a very Happy and Healthy New Year.  It's so hard to believe that another year has come and gone.  Where does the time go!

What are your plans for ringing in the New Year?

I guess are plans are to go to the WEAA for food and drinks with our friends.  They put on a spread for their members and don't charge anything.  Where can you go for a nice time and it doesn't cost you to eat.  All you pay for is your drinks and they aren't expensive.  But I don't really drink so I'll be a cheap date, LOL.

Rekindle Your Relationship for 2008

There seems to be too many breakups in marriage or longtime relationships that we so do take for granted.

 Isn't she sweet looking?

I AM BORED!

I am so bored, so I don't know which template I want for my blog. Be patient with me as I may change it everyday to see which one I like the best. This is my pink feeling for today.

Our Shaggy Dutchess II

This is our Dutchess II, she is relaxing in my lounge chair.  Our other Ducthess used to do the same thing.  She is following in her footsteps, LOL.

December 27, 2007

Here are my three babies.

From left to right, we have Cody our yellow lab, he is 9 years old.  Next we have Patches our shit-pooh (our little one) we call her, she is 9 months old.  Third we have Dutchess II our golden-doodle, she is 7 months old.  I call her my puppy from hell.  The reason why I call her that is she lives up to the golden retrievers.  She ate my cell phone last week because her daddy didn't pay attention to her.  I was outside talking so she wanted to see what she could get into and she found it on my desk.  All in all she is a very loving puppy.  Patches is such a weenie, when it comes to going potty outside in the rain.  She doesn't like getting wet, but she sure likes getting dirty.  At least once a week she gets a bath because of her looking so scrounge from our muddy yard.

God has worked a miracle in this young man's life

How we all fret over the little things.  How we wish we had more of this or more of that, than what we have. God has chosen this young man to share his life with so many people that we all need to look at ourselves and be thankful for so many things.  We are truly all blessed with something.

You Raised Me Up!

Here is a video that says it all!  May you all be blessed as you watch and listen to this wonderful video.

May my Lord and Saviour touch you all with his grace and mercy.

I love you all.

A Traffic Controller for a School in Ohio

I got this article from a friend in Ohio.  It was published in her local newspaper.  A school crossing guard dressed as a Christmas Tree, but they are called traffic controllers in that state.

Click on the title and when it opens click on the picture to get a better view of her dressed as a tree.

Merry Christmas to all!

Thank you Cherie for sending me the article.

The Stampede Band

Here is the "Stampede Band" performing live at Frankie & Johnny's Island Park Bar & Grill, in Buttsville, NJ.  The song is Smoke on the Water.

From left to right we have J.R. on lead & vocals, Chuck on bass & vocals, Gene on piano & vocals, and Paul on drums.

Santa's Sing-A-Long Christmas Carols

For all you children at heart, at Christmas time.  See if you can find your favorite carol.  Enjoy!

Merry Christmas!

Our first SNOW Day from School

The weather is a bit frightful out there today, so every school in our viewing area has canceled school.  So, my plans for today is to do the wash, vacuuming, dusting, and anything else I don't have the time to do.  Well, I think I'll skip all that and just relax and watch the dust bunnies collect, LOL.

What are your plans for today on this frightful weather day?

No, really I will try to get some of those things done, while chasing 2 puppies around the house and keeping them safe from chewing everything in site, LOL.

My poor floors are going to be all mud, YUK.

Cody, our senior dog

This is Cody, he is our senior dog.  He is 10 years old.  He loves sleeping in my chair, cuz it is so comfy.

Dutchess II

Dutchess used to be able to fit in Patches's crate, but no more.  She has gotten so BIG.

Gizmo and Snowball

Gizmo, which we call Gizzy and his brother Snowball, which we call whitey.  It is hard to believe that they are brothers because Gizzy has long hair and Whitey has short hair.  They are both part Himalayan Cats.
Chuck brought them home from work during February, when we were having a snow storm.  A painting contractor came into the Duron Paint Store with these kittens asking if he knew someone who wanted kittens.  Of course he had to call me.  And I said yes.

They are best of Buds

Here they are laying together on their doggie bed and Dutchess trying to fit in the kitty bed.

Patches after getting fixed in August

She is so funny.  You thought she was put through the wringer, LOL!  She looks drunk in the first picture.

The second picture she was passed out from being drugged, LOL.

My Patches and Dutchess II

Here is Patches, she is 4 months old and Dutchess II, she is 2 months old.  Aren't they so cute.
Boy have they grown, now.

A Night at Brewhaha's

Friday Night the Stampede Band played at Brewhaha on Belvidere Road in Harmony, New Jersey.  We had some of our good friends come on out and join us for a bit.  They couldn't stay long because it was a late night startup, from 10:30-1:30.

Where this bar is located in this room used to be the dining hall.  They moved the bar from the other room to here and created a new dining room.  Really good food and the prices are bad at all.  From 10 PM Friday and Saturday all alcoholic are $3.50, shots, mixers and drafts.

Thanks to our friends from the Western Nights Dance Club for coming out.

This is my Son Tom & Stephanie's family

From left to right we have Jacob, Timothy, Justin, Leanna, and Maree'.  As you can see Timothy is very happy, while Justin isn't, LOL.

They are such a cute bunch.

Pictures of a Golden-doodle

I found some pictures of a golden-doodle and this one looks so much like our new Dutchess II.

They are so much like Golden Retrievers, it's unreal.

It is so nice not to have the shedding that a true Golden does.

The Stampede Band

Here we have Chuck the bass player and vocals.

Here is their newest addition on drums is Paul.  They all make beautiful sound together.  They rock the house, so to speak.

The Stampede Band

These are the member's of the band that Chuck plays in.....we have J.R, he is the lead vocalist and lead guitarist.

Gene who is the piano man and vocalist, plus he does all the MC.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to wish all my readers a HAPPY THANKSGIVING.  It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving Day is upon us in just as little as two days.

This year, I want you all to think about what you are thankful for.

I thought about it and all I can think of is, I'm thankful for all my wonderful friends that God has placed in my life.  I'm also thankful for my husband Chuck, my children Bill, Tom, my foster son John, Tom's wife Stephanie, Bill's girlfriend Cindy, John's girlfriend Jamie and all my grandkids they brought into my life.  I'm also thankful that God has allowed his son to die for all my sins, so that I can have eternity with him.

God Bless you all!

My little Jacob

Wow, what an expression on that cute little face. He looks like he has seen a ghost, doesn't he.

The Stampede Band's New Drummer

The guy not facing the camera is the "Stampede Band's" new drummer, his name is Paul Rice. What an awesome drummer and good looking to boot. The band has been looking for the perfect beat and here he is.

We welcome Paul to give us that perfect beat of the drums.

Here was Pop-pop Chuck before Halloween

I tried warning him but he wouldn't listen. See his feet are all ready growing to the floor. The next picture shows what he turned into. Just in time for Halloween.

Happy Halloween to all my little grandchildren. Don't eat too much candy or you may turn into a candy bar, LOL.

Happy Halloween

Look what Pop-pop Chuck has turned into from spending too much time on the computer. I warned him that this was going to happen one day, LOL!

Tootie you looked wonderful in your Wilson Warrior sweatshirt. There were so many people there to mourn the loss, but we all know that we will see you again. The pastor said today that you are trying on your new body, when you arrived to be with our Lord and Saviour. What a laugh we all gave, just to imagine you saying "look at me" and you moving in a modeling way.

Tootie you are with your partner Sach (Mike) whom you missed so very much, when he passed last November. Watch over your boys as they live their lives to make you both proud. R.I.P.

We have a New Boss

The boss from hell is what we have. She moved me to another corner because of false allegations were made about me talking on my cell while crossing kids. The kids and parents are upset over this move. She moved other people as well and the ones that are out on, either a medical leave or filling in on their other job, are afraid they aren't going to get their corners back. We never had this problem before. When I was the boss, many years ago, I treated everyone equally. Karen our old boss went around our schedules to get corners covered. This boss leaves corners unattended to eye spy on guards. I think that it is ashame. Treating us like little kids. Hopefully, she will get what is intended for her in the end, and that is to be moved to a corner she couldn't handle.

Unemployment

Well Chuck was able to use my computer with the web browser Firefox to get his claim in on time to open for the start of the week. Hooray!

Wow, that was pain in the butt. I thought it was never going to go through. Now we have to wait for about three weeks until we see a check, YUK!

Thank goodness my Christmas shopping is done except for John, Jamie, Steph, and Cindy.

Sometimes it is good to have a Mac and sometimes it's not....

Chuck has been trying for two days now, on the computer, to open a claim at the unemployment office, but with no luck. He tried it on Safari, Internet Exployer, and then Netscape. We don't know if it is because we both have Mac's and the system doesn't accept the Mac's only Pc's This is a real headache for him. It lets him go through the whole thing, then when he tries to send it it shuts down, saying something, I don't know.

I love playing games on Pogo.com, but some of the games can only be played on Internet Exployer. I am using Safari web browser to play most of the games because I don't have Internet Exployer on my Mac. I guess I'll have to download it, so I have another web browser.

The good thing in owning a Mac is that you don't have to worry about it get a virus. My Pc was always jamming up and working so slow, that it drove me nuts. I wanted to throw it out the window or door. My Mac is so quick and easy to use. I only need to learn how to do more on it, LOL. When I had the PC I always locked it up when trying to do too many things at once, but with a Mac you don't have to worry about that. You can move things all around by dragging it to where you want it. But I'm sure there are some computer peaople out there that sure know how to work a PC very well. Not me, LOL! Chuck always tells me you can't hurt a Mac.

But, I guess computers in general can get on your nerves, whether it is a Mac or Pc.

School Is Open, For Wilson & Easton School Districts

Monday was the start of our first day of school and it went very well. I was crossing for the first shift at Saint Janes DeChantel School at 7:15 AM. The kids were so excited to go back to school for their first day that some of the kids were very early. The parents also looked very happy too for they have a day to themselves or with the kids that are still at home.

A lot of parents brought cameras to take pictures of their kids riding the school bus for the first time. Some kids chose to ride the bus instead of their parents driving them. It makes it easier on those parents this year. Then, their were some siblings that just didn't want to ride the bus at all, they would rather get driven to school by their parents or grandparents. It was all great to see them in their nice uniforms with new backpacks and lunch boxes.

My next shift was at 8:15 AM for the Wilson Elementary School. The kids arrived with their parents who also had cameras or camera phones to take pictures of their child for the first day of school. The kids all looked so pretty and handsome with their new outfits, backpacks and lunch boxes. Some kids were very excited and then there were some that just didn't want to go at all. Once they are back in the routine of things again, they will be happy to be with their friends to share what they have done over the summer months.

It went very well with the new security officer, John, that the Wilson School District hired. The traffic was moving right along with no problems for me or the kids crossing to school. It was so nice to have a very peaceful start of the school year. Hopefully, it will stay that way!

So, all drive safely and pay attention to all your surroundings because school is open.

August 25, 2007

Today is Saturday, just two more days until the school year starts.

I can't believe on Monday I go back to school guarding again for the year. It is hard to believe that the summer is just about over. Now back to the old grind, YIPPEE!

I love crossing those kids to school and seeing what they all wear, especially the first day. They all look so pretty and handsome.

Now, hopefully we will all start out on a good note and NO PARKING in front of the school. We got rid of the trouble makers and this should be a really nice year for us all.

Drive safely, School is Open!

Prayers are needed

Chuck lost his job yesterday and we are in need of your prayers, so he can find another one.
He is happy to be away from Sherwin Williams again, they own the Duron Paint Company, MAB Paints, Dutchboy Paints, and many more that I don't know of. They are the BIGGEST paint company in the USA.

That company didn't care about the health and welfare of their employees, all they care about is the all mighty dollar.

Chuck is very happy to be away from them, but I'm very scared of what the future holds for us.

He is hoping to make a career change and to stay away from all the heavy lifting he was doing. His body can't do it anymore.
Chucks knows a lot about different things, like computers, etc. He is a very smart man.

So please pray for him and me or course.

The only one that can lead us in the right direction is God. And I'm putting it in his hands, with the help of you all who reads my blog.

I'm very thankful that Chuck enjoys playing in the band, hopefully when he does find a job that it won't interfere with it. That is one thing he has enjoyed over the years. It has made life pleasant for him, to escape from the dreary work place, to making people smile, with music.

Come on out and have fun at Camp Charles Campground

Stampede Band is playing at Camp Charles Campground in Upper Mount Bethel, just north of Bangor, PA. from 8-11 pm, on August 11th.
We all have such a good time dancing and listening to good singing and music. The band plays country, oldies, rock-n-roll and requests.

All you need to bring is what you are going to drink and munch on. They have tables and chairs to sit and relax on. Just come on out and have a good time.

Here are some pics of the last time they were there.

Our Band Mother, Dolly

Now we all should be jealous of her but we can't. You got to love Miss Dolly. We enjoy her coming out every time she can between her dates with her grandson Bryce Jr. You see her grandson Bryce races mini cars around dirt tracks. I hear he is very good.

JR's granddaughter does the same thing. She is also very good.

Now you can see how much she loves Chuckie!

Our Drummer, Sid

Here is Sid, the drummer in the Stampede Band. He makes so many different faces all through the night while beating on those drums.

The Stampede Band

Here is the band my hubby Chuck plays in. From left to right, we have JR, leader of the pack, Chuck, bass player, Gene on keys.
You can't see the drummer in this picture so I'll find a picture of him. His name is Sid. The man of many faces when he drums to the beat.

My girlfriend Danielle and her hubby Charlie

This is Danielle and her hubby Charlie behind her. They are from New York, I think Brooklyn. She is a character as you can see in this picture. I love to listen to her talk with her accent. She is one crazy, nutty, girl.

I love you Danielle! Glad we became friends.

She is also a school crossing guard. I introduced her to the job. The perfect job when you want to be a stay at home mom and you can take your kids with you to the corner. Yeah, for school guards!

Chuck and his girlfriend, Dolly

I like to introduce Chuck's girlfriend, Dolly. She just loves him singing to her, especially her favorite song, "He'll Have To Go." The band does it their own style and she just swoons ove his singing.

Patches and Dutchess II, when they were about the same size

Here is when we first got Dutchess II. Patches was 3 months old then and Dutchess II was only 9 weeks.

Dutchess II, boy has she grown.

This is Dutchess II favorite spot to sleep.

She used to be able to fit on the ledge of my desk, but she has grown so much she can't quite fit anymore.

She is constantly falling off, but she keeps trying.

Cody, our oldest dog

Cody is enjoying his rest in the puppies' crate. I can't believe he can fit in it, LOL.

He seems to be relaxing quite well in it, don't you think.
